     My name is Shaun Gratton. I work for Animethon 15 on behalf of A.S.P.A(alberta society for asian popular arts). We are currently recruiting volunteers age 14 and up.<br />
     The positions we are looking to fill are general volunteer(14+) and projectionist(16+).<br />
     Security unlike past animethons is going to be handled seperately and will not be selected from the general volunteer pool, but one thing to mention is that you do need to be 18+ in order to apply for this position.<br />

Would you like to be involved with our cosplay events, but do not feel like entering the Masquerade? Well, we just may have a job for you.<br />
<br />
Due to some of our judges not returning in 2008, Anime Boston is looking for three qualified individuals to act as Craftsmanship judges for our Masquerade and Hall Costume Contest events.<br />
<br />
What’s in it for you?<br />
· Free admission to the convention.<br />
· Priority seating at the Masquerade for yourself and a partner.<br />
· The privilege of presenting your own award onstage at the Masquerade.<br />
· The great feeling that comes with knowing you helped pull of some great events at the largest Anime Convention in the northeast!<br />
<br />
What we are looking for:<br />
. FAIR AND IMPARTIAL individuals who will perform their duties in an honest and ethical manner<br />
· Experienced/Award winning individuals who can adequately inspect costumes and props and evaluates them in a fair and objective manner.<br />
· Excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude.<br />
· Dedicated workers who are willing to put in a minimum of 10 hours of work during the convention.<br />
· Prior judging experience recommended, but not required.<br />
· Familiarity with the International Costuming Guild’s guidelines and ethics recommended, but not required.<br />
<br />
Job responsibilities:<br />
· Attending all judging blocks. (These will occur from 12pm – 6pm on Friday March 21st, and 10am – 12pm Saturday March 22nd.)<br />
· Attending the Masquerade on Saturday, March 22nd from 7pm to approximately 10pm.<br />
· Willingness to fully explain the basis behind, and present a “Judges Award” at the Masquerade, preferably in costume.<br />
· Please be advised that if you are accepted as a judge for either competition, you will be ineligible to participate in both the Hall Costume Contest and the Masquerade.<br />

Timeline: <br />
· We will be accepting applications for judges until February 1st.<br />
· All applicants will be notified of our decisions by February 15th.<br />

The media liaison will be responsible for drafting policies, guidelines and applications for media agencies to follow. The media liaison is responsible for the approval of media agencies applications and issuing of media memberships.<br />

The media liaison will liaise with the public relations department to develop information packages to be relayed to media agency.<br />

The media liaison will be responsible for initiating communications with potential media agencies.<br />

We're currently looking for an energetic individual to full the position of Hotel Liaison. Job description as follows:<br />

The hotel liaison will liaise with the conventions hotel to arrange room blocking before the convention. Additionally the Hotel liaison will be responsible for dealing with reservation problems and facilities snafus during the convention.<br />
<br />
The hotel liaison will liaise with the guest liaison and the programming director in determining the requirements of room blocks for guest.  Additionally the hotel liaison will liaise with the human resources department for room blocks needed for staff and volunteers.<br />
<br />
The hotel liaison should be able to budget for hotel necessities based off the previous year’s needs and present their budget to their departments director.<br />
<br />
The hotel liaison should be present at all meetings scheduled with the venue to ensure consistency with their room bookings.<br />
<br />
The hotel liaison will be responsible for keeping adequate notes relating to all their communications with the hotel and with staff.<br />
