As a note, no, I do not have a .com website yet; we're just in the planning/building stages. While I DO have a wordpress set up that'll transfer over to a hosted domain later. For now, it's a live prototype as we work on the nitty gritty details of bringing this to life.
I am looking for staff to join Itsukacon! Staff descriptions linked on the linked page below. To apply, just click Apply! at the bottom of the guidelines. :)Positons are removed from the application as they are filled, so apply quickly!

Feel free to look over our website and apply for staff if it suites you.

Like I said, still working on building up.
We're not at the point for location or dates yet.
Unless you would like to know our ideal date/location?
Which is Nov 2015/Waco, TX.
But that isn't set in stone.

I am looking for staff to join Itsukacon!
I have a feeling from the similarity of the names that I'm going to end up confusing this with Ikasucon.

LOL
Sorry. But the names are totally different.
Ikasu translates to Life, or birth.
Itsuka translates to somewhere to someday.
I'm totally not stepping on toes. I swear. Haha.

I don't think Patrick was accusing any copycating, just the fact that the names do look similar in writing, which could lead to confusion if people aren't reading carefully. Not necessarily a reason to change the name, but something to think carefully about.
Good luck finding staff! Sadly I'm in the wrong region to participate myself. That said, for the benefit of anyone who may be more local, are there any staffing positions you specifically need as opposed to other? That might help encourage people if they see something they are interested or experienced in.
For a helpful breakdown of what positions can be needed at a con I'd suggest checking out Anime Boston's Staff Listing webpage. Granted they're fairly sizable and established so will have far more staff than you will need, but the same major positions or departments should be at least considered.

..that's really frustrating that after a certain amount of time you can't update the OP. Anyways.
I'm moving along on this now. We're between being held in Arlington or Waco. Both have really good, and inexpensive locations. We're shooting for sometime in 2020. HOWEVER.
I have planned to hold quaterly mini convention in 4 cities: San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Arlington itself starting in late 2015 to start generating revenue, testing methods and ideas for the BIG con itself, and getting the word out about us. So please if you're interested, feel free to check out the staff blog (it's empty right now, other than the application to staff, which I'll link you too, but I'm gonna get it filled with all sorts of info soon.
So please check us out.

Also, after you've applied and been approved or accepted, please prepare a short (150 words or less) bio for me and include a 100x200 image to represent you (photo would be preferable, or you in drawn form or something). And email it to someday.con@gmail.com
