I'm organizing a convention in it's first year to be held in Canada. I'm beginning my quest to recruit Vendors/Dealers/Exhibitor s for our Vendor Hall.

Any suggestions on how to compile such a list so I might contact those people?

Our convention would LOVE to have big corporations show in our vendor hall but I'm more interested in finding those smaller dealers who travel around showing at Canadian fan/anime/comic conventions.

Thanks for any direction!

I'd recommend looking at what dealers visit other conventions (especially in your area) and contacting them. Unfortunately, there's really no master list of possible vendors to contact. If you are promoting your convention at other conventions, that's a perfect opportunity to approach vendors about attending your event.

Congrats on starting up a convention! When we started ours, we looked at vendors that attended conventions local to us as well as vendors we purchased from ourselves at conventions.

Take a look at your local conventions like Patrick said and see what vendors tend to frequent them!
