The Pennsylvania Convention Center has posted on their web site that TandokuCon has been cancelled. There have not been any updates related to this on TandokuCon's web site yet, but we will keep everyone posted if we hear any other news.

With a guest list unusually large for a first-year convention, an expensive convention center location, and several other questionable moves, anime fans have been suspicious about TandokuCon ever since it was announced. While many locals remained optimistic, most people were approaching the convention with caution.

Thanks to observant forum regular stardust462 for alerting us to this news.

The con is no longer listed as canceled on the PACC website. No updates on TandokuCon's website about this though.

ETA: Which you already got, I saw after posting this. I forgot to click "read more" to see if you had updated.

They have put up on their website that the convention is still on at the convention center. I don't know how long it was posted on their website.

Since your post is less than an hour after mine, they must have updated their site not long after I posted.

I'm glad they were able to get back on track. I hope the con goes well for everyone, attendees and staff.

It now seems that their website has been taken down. The forums can be accessed directly, but there is obviously no activity.

Too bad actually, I was hoping they would pull it together.

This thread is old. There's a lot more recent discussion about the con here:
